Terms and Conditions

The following criteria must have been met before any vehicle can be released from A.V.R. premises. These terms and conditions are in place to ensure that customers obtain the best possible service from A.V.R.

Drivers
All drivers must be over 25 under 65 with a full clean UK driving licence held for minimum of one year. Endorsements will only be accepted with prior approval. Drivers must show their licence before any vehicle will be released, copies are not acceptable.

Identification
Two forms of identification must be provided before initial hire, one must be photographic.Acceptable forms are as follows :- Passport, Shot Gun licence, Company ID.

Payment
All payment is cash or credit card. Accounts may be applied for but are strictly at A.V.R’s discretion.

Security Deposits
A security deposit of £ 250.00 is required per vehicle hired £ 500.00 for buses and lorrys (Cash or Credit Card Only). This deposit acts as insurance excess on the vehicle. Deposits will not be returned should vehicle/s be damaged in anyway, returned after the time stated on hire agreement, left outside gates or require a full valet.

Insurance
All vehicles must have prior consent to operate outside the United Kingdom. Any one wishing to insure vehicles themselves must provide an original insurance document, copies will not be accepted.

Customer Vehicles
A.V.R. do not accept liability for customer vehicles or contents left on our premises. Vehicle keys must be left until customer return.

Topping Up Oils
It is the responsibility of the hirer to pay for all topping up oils and the operator should check oil and coolant levels daily, any damage caused by lack of fluid will be charged for.

Glass Breakage
The hirer is responsible for glass breakage, including window screens, broken headlights, side and tail lights, flasher lenses, mirrors etc..

Tyres
Always be aware of the legal implications regarding tyres. It is an offence under the Ministry of Transport regulations to use a pneumatic tyre if it is unsuitable either in itself or in a combination with other tyres on a vehicle, if it is not properly inflated or, if it is damaged in anyway. It should have no lumps or bulges in the casing and have the required amount of tread (which should be at least 1.6 mm deep across the actual tread). It is your responsibility as the operator to make sure that your tyres conform with this legislation at all times.

Fixed Pentaly Fines
Fixed penalty fines should be paid promptly to avoid extra administrative costs being incurred by the hirer. It is the responsibility of the hirer / operator to pay ALL Fixed Penalty Fines incurred promptly.

Servicing
Any hire vehicle will have been serviced in accordance with the manufacturers service recommendations. The customer will be liable for any breakdown should a vehicle be taken over its service mileage.

General Vehicle Care
For customers who hire vehicle/s over a long period of time we suggest that the vehicle/s are washed, polished and vacuumed regularly. This will make the vehicle pleasant to drive and enhance its used vehicle value, thereby eliminating any unnecessary excess charges at the end of its agreement.

Vehicle Return
It is the responsibility of the hirer to return vehicle at the end of the hire period, we do of course hope we will be supplying your next vehicle and look forward to meeting you again soon.

Fuel
All vehicles are run empty to empty of fuel.
A.V.R. will endeavour to rectify any problems that may arise. However, where we cannot, A.V.R. accept no responsibility and will not be held liable. A.V.R. reserve the right to refuse hire at their discretion.
